This is a great place to hang out and grad a hot dog or brat. I was not able to find a cider that was too my liking, but that is not their fault. Jalapenos could have some more spice to them. Chili dog was amazing. Definitely need to try the Best Wurst. The tots really hit the spot. Place has a great view. Would definitely be back. The only downside is that it is expensive.

The Northman is such a great spot to hangout on the Riverwalk and it’s definitely a personal favorite of mine. Lots of different beers and ciders to chose from and some great food and snack options too. What’s unique about this spot is there’s so much space and seating that you don’t have to wait like many of the other Riverwalk spots. They also have live music often and special events like Oktoberfest where they have special selections and games to play. You go up to the counter to get drinks and order food which is actually nice because you don’t have to wait a long time for a server to come back, which is one of the main problems of other Riverwalk spots because they never have enough servers. Here you get your drinks when you want them and the food is delivered to your seat quickly. They are dog friendly, even putting out water bowls and giving treats to pets. Pictured is the Chicago Dog, a Vegan Kielbasa, soft serve, Pub Pretzel, and some ciders - all tasty! This is definitely a great choice to relax at on the river.

This is a fun and relaxing place on the Riverwalk to stop for a snack and a beer. The view of the river and lake is hard to beat. It has picnic tables, trees with lights and an overall atmosphere that has a good vibe. It’s definitely a must to stop for a snack and a beer or cider. You could easily spend hours people watching and relaxing. I had the O.I.B Cushy fruited sour beer which was really good.

This place is awesome. The food came out fast and the food was amazing. We had the Chicago style hot dog and the hot tots. There was live music and everyone was super nice and quick with service and delivery of the food.

Was in Chicago for 48 hrs and ate here twice. Got the shawarma sausage and a pineapple cider and had to return for a second time, same order. The views and vibes are excellent.

We loved Northman! Easy to get to off the bridge, but best is off the lower (or 2nd lower) level of Wacker! It matters if you cant walk that far! I took a Lyft towards that hard-to-find car impound lot, but turned south, and there’s an entrance. This entrance is the lowest level of Wacker I could find! The river view from Northman is sweet! This place has lots of seating and several ways to order. We ordered at the kiosk and they brought it to the table. We chose craft beers and great Chicago dogs. Fair pricing. If you like your outdoor "al fresco" casual dining, and good dogs and other foods, c'mon over! We loved it, hung out on the river a couple hours, met some new friends and some tourists, and only complained on the stairs back up to Chicago-Level :-)

I didn’t know about this place, I was walking by with family and friends and stopped for a break and a beer. One of the best things I’ve done in the big city. Great atmosphere, friendly staff an amazing time in general. The variety of cider is amazing. Food on the spot too. Prices are good too.

Great spot right on the river! Great prices and selection for beer/cider! We had the Northman cider which was on the drier and side and it was great. Bought the carafe, which is the same as getting 4 drinks so not much of a deal but still was great to not have to jump back in line. Lots of seats! We visited on a Saturday and were still able to sit right by the water. Relaxing atmosphere and great people watching!
